As we discussed, I am attaching a Google aerial of the
East Rigden site that identifies the five (5) pond areas to which we will apply the pre -1981
exposed ground water acreage. As I understand it, from past substitute water supply plans,
accepted by the state Engineers Office (SEO), future ground water exposure at East Rigden
cannot exceed 25 acres.
I have also attached a photograph of Pond # 5 located north of the railroad tracks which was
taken on June 9, 2010. Currently this pond is dewatered to facilitate reclamation work.
Please do not hesitate to call me if you have any questions regarding this email and the
attached.
Regards, Mike
[Quoted text hidden]
[Quoted text hidden]
2 attachments
20110310 SWSP Pre 81 Assigned Areas.pdf
209K
s 20100609 Photograph 1 East Rigden Pond 3.pdf
68K
Comaniciu, loana <Ioana.Comaniciu @state.co.us> Thu, Mar 10, 2011 at 2:23 PM
To: Michael Hart <mjhart01 @gmail.com>
Cc: Bill McDowell <whmcd999 @aol.com >, " Dains, Jared" <jareddains @applegategroup.com>
Good Afternoon Mr. Hart,
Thank you forthe map provided. Although this map appears to be acceptable forthe purposes of
identifying the pre 1981 area, it appears that Pond No. 5 is outside of the permitted boundary area for the
East Rigden Pit. Please see attached map provided by Applegate Group. Also attached is a map that shows
the pit boundary before Pond no. 1 was added to the permitted area. Both maps show that Pond No. 5 is
not part of the East Rigden permitted boundary. Can you please check the permitted boundary for the
East Rigden Pit and if the attached maps are not correct please provide me with a new map that shows the
actual permitted boundary for this pit.
Mtps•Jhriail. goggle. cmrdmaill cal u/ OI?ui= 2&iIF7107b14299&wevu =pt&q= jareddains °lwt0applegategroup.comks = true &seardt=querA#r -12ege0da34f55W 3114
