Page 2
May 14, 2013
The TR addresses material specifications and the installation procedure changes required due to
the changed material. UMC acknowledges that approval of this TR submittal is required for the
TSF facility reconstruction to proceed beyond preparation of the sub -base and other ancillary
activities not related to liner installation. Following approval of the TR submittal we will initiate
the GCL, leak detection system and polypropylene liner installation.
Several clean up items are also included with this TR submittal.
(1) The Lake County Conditional Use Permit stipulated that sewage disposal use a newly constructed
sanitary sewage lift station and the septic holding tank became the holding tank for the lift
station.
(2) Water will initially hold the installed liner and then the historic tailings will be slurried into the
TSF. This negates the need for a geotextile liner on the polypropylene liner and the placement of
the stockpiled ore on a geotextile liner. The stockpiled ore will be run through the mill for initial
equipment and process testing.
(3) Minor typos, line spacing, and other word processing errors found within the revised pages were
also corrected.
Please contact myself or Holly Michael for additional information or clarification to this
submittal. We may be reached by phone at 303 - 947 -3499, nmichael@unionmilling.com for
myself or 303 - 947 -7837, hmichael @unionmilling.com for Holly.
Sincerely,
Nick Michael
Member
Union Milling Company, LLC
