These occurred on a samples collected at Outfall 010 on February 4 and March 5.
Additional analyses for selenium were performed by the lab as described below."
This paragraph is incorrect, in that there is no numeric selenium DMR limit for Outfall 010. The DMR for
this outfall for selenium states "Req. Mon. ", which I understand to mean "Required Monitoring" only.
There is no limit for selenium since the Reasonable Potential (RP) analysis performed by the Division in
2010 indicated there was no RP for selenium, but that monitoring was still required.
All of the other information provided in the April 25 letter is correct. Please contact me at 970 -276 -5209
if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Dennis Jones
Hydrologist I
cc: Mr. Jared Ebert
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203 -2273
Seneca Coal Company • P.O.
