(a) Due to the elevation, the mine site has no trees or brush and only sporadic vegetative cover.
Approximately 60% of the area is barren of cover. Native species include Mountain Brome,
Canby Bluegrass, Arizona Fescue, Reubens Bluegrass, Meadow Foxtail, Timothy Hay and
assorted wildflowers.
The soil material is angular made up of predominantly limestone and white quartz. There is very
little clay in the top 12 feet of the deposit. However, the bottom two to three feet is rich with
clay and nearly barren of gold. Depth to bedrock ranges from 14 —17 feet.
(b) There are no permanent man -made structures within 200 feet of the proposed operation.
However, there is a cabin on the claim that has largely fallen in on itself. The owner of the
structure has advised Randy Burks to remove it from the claim.
(c) There are two tailings ponds on the site that will be used to process the ore. There are no
streams, creeks, wetlands or springs on the site. Water will be stored from snowmelt, which will
allow the mine to operate for a few weeks each summer. The ponds will be enlarged over the
course of a 2 -3 seasons to hopefully store more water. The operation will be a non -
consumptive source of water.
(d) An aerial photograph has been provided to show the amount of denuded area on the mine site.
