Bruce Smith (Western
Water & Land, Inc.) will attend the drilling on behalf of Energy Fuels. Contact information is
provided in Table 2 in case of last minute questions or coordination needs.
Schedule
The morning of May 6th Energy Fuels staff will arrive and clear brush and large rocks as needed
from the MW -SUN3 followed by the MW -TPZ1 road and drill hole locations. They will remain
on -site in case the driller requires additional assistance. DA Smith and Bruce Smith will arrive
at the site late morning /early afternoon. They will meet on 141" east of Slickrock so Bruce can
guide the drillers to the first drilling location. See Figures 2 and 4 for drilling locations.
We anticipate the drilling to take at least 3 days, possibly more. At some point during the
drilling, Bruce will conduct a slug test at MW -SUN2. Bruce will conduct well development on
MW -SUN3 and MW -TPZ1 after drilling is completed. This may take place the week of May
13th depending on how long it takes to drill the holes.
Inspection
Jamie Blair from the BLM and Bob Oswald from DRMS have expressed an interest in visiting
the site during drilling operations to check on the drilling and also inspect the wells that were
installed last year. Figure 7 shows the full site area and includes locations of the wells that were
drilled last year. David Turk (Energy Fuels) will meet them onsite for this inspection. Tuesday,
May 7th may be the best day for this.
Drilling practices
The following drilling practices should be observed while onsite:
1. Minimize site disturbance as practicable.
2. Any excavations shall separate topsoil from subsoils.
3. Drilling method should be by air rotary, no mud drilling will be conducted without WWL
approval.
4. Drilling pipe dope shall be of an environmentally approved type for using in groundwater
monitoring wells; (no petroleum hydrocarbons).
5. No other organic or inorganic lubricants or other additives shall be applied on downhole
equipment without WWL approval.
6. Only fresh municipally- treated water should be used for any downhole applications, i.e.
mist injection. Please identify the water source upon site arrival.
Sunday Complex 1 April 2013
VAUSA \Colorado\Su day Complex\Baseline Studies \Groundwater \Well Construction \Well Drilling Plans 201304 \Well Drilling InformationAux
I
