Water that may be "captured" is water that may be routed (by a small berm we'll install to keep unfiltered
storm water that falls on the disturbed areas from leaving the site) to lower elevation "discharge" areas.
At these areas, we'll construct filters that may be made of rock (similar to a rock "blanket "), straw /hay
bales, waddles (a netting tube filled with an inert material (straw, wood chips etc.)), silt fence etc. that will
filter silt from the storm water prior to it exiting the site.
2. Toward the southern and southwestern boundaries, the topsoil depth becomes less since there is a sand
stone shelf in these vicinities. When the reclamation process starts, we may screen this top soil to remove
the bigger rocks although this isn't written in the pit's exhibits. If we do screen it, we'll lose that volume of
"top soil" that the rocks currently occupy. Please revise the top soil salvage depth range to 4" to 10 ".
6.4.5 Exhibit E — Reclamation Plan
3. Please revise Exhibit E.2.f.v to reflect topsoil depth as ranging from 4" to 10 ".
Sincerely,
r /lvr,/ 40 it-t,i vJ
Phil Dorenkamp
LAC R &B
REcElV
Ep
MAY n 9 ? 13
DIV/610NaF
M!NlNCANO,3AF ,z ON
