Review of the information received determined the following items must be
received before the Division can consider the application as being submitted and technical review
can begin:
Exhibit A - Legal Description and Location Map (Rule 6.3.11:
1. The USGS Topographic location map submitted by the Applicant indicates the main
entrance location longitude as W 103051'38.29" in the margin portion of the map. Please
revise the location information in the margin to indicated the correct entrance location
longitude of W 1030 51' 38.49"
2. The USGS Topographic location map submitted by the Applicant indicates the main
entrance location at the intersection of the access road and the mine site (in red). The main
entrance coordinates provided by the Applicant indicate the main entrance as the
intersection of Weld County Roads 124 and 127, not the intersection of the access road and
the mine site. Please review the main entrance location and revise the USGS location map
or permit application accordingly.
3. The metes and bounds survey map submitted by the Applicant indicates the proposed mine
site is located in Section 33. The Division believes the Applicant intended to locate the mine
site in Section 34, which is consistent with the location information provided in the permit
application. Please review the survey map and revise accordingly. Additionally, the Division
requests the Applicant submits a complete survey map showing all metes and bounds
information.
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
