April 11, 2013
Colorado River Ranch Gravel Pit
P O Box 832
Kremmling, Colorado 80459
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
To whom it may concern:
We are providing a description of our gravel pit.
A. The status of our gravel operation is as follows. We have filed the annual reports and payments
as required. We are open to sell our products seven days a week, twelve months of the year.
The last time a custom crusher was in the pit was 2010. We are planning on crushing material
this spring when weather permits. Our gravel sales have been very slow due to the economy
and the competition right next to our operation. We have some stock piled gravel. Stock piles
have been gradually depleted, so it is our plans to crush this spring.
B. Our reclamation plan consists of when the mining is done in an area it will be resoiled and
revegetated for the use of range land, as it was before the extraction began.
C. As we have stated above, we will have a custom crusher in the pit to crush material to stock pile
for future sales. The amount of crushing we will do in the future will depend on the amount of
gravel sales. So therefore the resumption of mining will depend on our sales and the economy.
If you have any further questions please call or contact us. Thank you.
d C. Petersen
