Pitch Reclamation Project Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board — 2012 Annual Reclamation Report <br />1. INTRODUCTION <br />1.1 Terms and Conditions <br />ARCADIS U.S., Inc. (ARCADIS) is retained by Homestake to collect the data and other information from <br />contractors engaged at the Pitch Reclamation Project and to assemble this report of the 2012 monitoring <br />and reclamation activities. Information used in this report was provided by: ARCADIS; Engineering <br />Analytics Inc.; Energy Laboratories, Inc.; and the Homestake -Pitch Project field office in Sargents, <br />Colorado. <br />1.2 Purpose and Scope of Work <br />This report was prepared to fulfill the annual reclamation reporting requirements of Homestake to the <br />Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) for reclamation permit number M -77- <br />004HR. This report primarily presents reclamation and monitoring conducted during the 2012 calendar <br />year. Documentation of reclamation conducted in previous years was presented in prior annual reports. <br />1.3 Project Description <br />The Pitch Reclamation Project is located in Township 48 North, Range 6 East, Saguache County, <br />Colorado. The project area is situated between 10,000 to 11,000 ft-amsl on both fee and public land <br />within the Gunnison National Forest. The primary drainage from the property is Indian Creek. Drainage <br />from Tie Camp Creek joins Indian Creek upstream of the CDPS permit discharge monitoring point at the <br />project site. Indian Creek joins Marshall Creek approximately four miles southwest of the Pitch property. <br />A site location map is provided as Figure 1. <br />Pitch 2012 Reclamation Report 04 -16-13 Doc <br />1 <br />
