Exhibit D Page 2 <br />of time, we will notify the land owner (BLM) of that event, and <br />recommend they apply for a water storage right for agricultural, <br />wildlife and industrial uses such as dust control. In the event ground <br />water is exposed, Moffat County will backfill the excavation so as <br />not to expose groundwater until a well permit has been obtained for <br />the pit well pursuant to CRS 37- 90 -13. <br />(d) The size of the area to be worked at any one time will be 15 <br />acres. <br />(e) Moffat County's time table will be approximately six weeks in <br />the mining and crushing stage of the operation, and approximately <br />five years in the stockpile reduction phase where the trucks will <br />haul road base materials to the construction sites. The cycle will be <br />repeated every five years or so. The lifetime of the mine is <br />estimated to be 20 years. <br />(f) For pre- mining, see Exhibit C (Pre- Mining Map), Exhibit C -1 <br />and Exhibit C -Text. <br />(g) The primary commodity to be mined /extracted will be sand and <br />gravel. The secondary commodity will be clay if any exists. These <br />products will be used for road base construction materials on our <br />highways. <br />(h) Moffat County may screen out small quantities of rocks between <br />4" to 6" as needed for incidental construction purposes. <br />(i) We have no plans to use explosives on the Refuge pit Conversion <br />No. 1 Gravel Pit. <br />
