Russell - DNR, Elliott <elliott.russell @state.co.us> Thu, Apr 25, 2013 at 1:30 PM
To: Alysha Hernandez - DNR <alysha.hernandez @state.co.us>
Alysha,
Please scan the following email and my reply into X-2005-217-10. Please name the permitfile 'NOI Inquiry (email)'
from J. E. Stover & Associates
Thanks!
Jim,
X- 2005 - 217 -10: Bowie Spruce Stomp Coal Expl Project
As per Rule 4.07.3(3) within 60 days after abandoning a drill hole, the operator shall submit a Drill Hole
Abandonment Report. This is need for drill holes SS -2 and SS -5. (The letter dated 1/28/13 indicated this reporting
was also needed for SS -9, but after further research I have found that we already have a 6/4/12 report for that
hole)
If Bowie Resources wants to release any of the sites this season or do a partial release on all sites except
Monitoring Well DH- 2010 -1, the Division will need a Final Reclamation Report and a release request before we
conduct the bond release inspection. With regards to the monitoring well, the exploration liability may be
released pending submittal of a request for bond release and one of the following:
• Transfer of wells as per Rule 4.05.14 to the landowner.
• A Minor Revision to the Bowie No. 2 Mine's mining permit application that includes a completion diagram,
permit text narrative discussing the well, reclamation bond calculation for abandonment, and a map
showing the location.
• Submitting a Drill Hole Abandonment Report and a Final Reclamation Report after the well is sealed,
plugged, and reclaimed.
Hope this helps, please call if you have any further questions
Thanks
Elliott SSell
https: / /mai l.g oog le.conVmai 1 /u /0 / ?ui =2 &i Ire29129fcb5 &\iev-- pt &search =i nboy&th= 13e42accf2769ed9 1/2
