'Foothills - Vegetation :Management Inc
Phone 303- 697 - 5424
Fax 303- 697 -4229
Judy Schmidt
City of Arvada
8101 Ralston Rd.
Arvada. CO 80001
1 -li Judy,
19394 Silver Ranch Road
Conifer CO. 80433
April 5, 2012
Thank you for the opportunity' to provide ongoing weed management services at the North Project –
Pioneer property. 2011 was our third season of service on the property It was the first year performing
services north of the air modelers park to south of }lwy 72.
Inspection this spring has shown impressive control of a broad spectrum of weeds in areas treated with
Perspective last spring. Areas Sprayed with :Milestone /Escort also responded very well. Minor spot
spraying is all that will be necessary in acres covered last year.
Spring 2011–
The land within the operational portion of the pit will take priority this year. It is essential for long term
control on the surrounding property, that we stop this Knapweed Seed Factory (Stockpiles and
associated areas). Some of these areas can be sprayed w ith a non - residual non- selectiN e herbicide. I just
don't want to spray any areas that are going to be graded over the same season. I also do not want to
spray 'Milestone on soil that may end up being introduced to landscaped areas in the same season.
The northwest corner of the property needs to he spot boons sprayed. Common Mullein and Dalmation
Toadtlax being the main problem.
Late Spring 2011—
• Inspect and evaluate all areas.
• Provide updated weed maps
• Spot spray or spot boom any skips from last year's treatments.
• Search and destroy any Salt Cedar or Russian Olive. They are increasingly hard to find.
• "Mosquitoville" (wooded abandoned swampy area east of the office) needs to be sprayed again
this year for Canada Thistle Pepperweed, Etc.
Sincerely.
Mike Wilkinson
COMMERCIAL APPLICATORS ARE LICENSED BY THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE
