<br />Bond release application SL -06 was approved on December 9, 1999 for Phase I, II and III Bond
<br />Release of $663,590.00 for reclamation work in the upper facilities area of the permit. The
<br />bond required for remaining reclamation work was reduced to $4,304,027.00.
<br />Bond release application SL -07 was approved on January 5, 2000 for a Phase I Bond Release of
<br />$464,143.00 for reclamation work in the support facilities area of the permit. The bond required
<br />for remaining reclamation work was reduced to $3,839,884.00.
<br />Bond release application SL -08 was approved on February 13, 2004 for Phase I, II and III Bond
<br />Release of $440,237.00 for reclamation work at the hill -slope conveyor, Goat Trail, and P &M
<br />portion of lower facilities area of the permit; and for $327,686.00 of demolition of structures
<br />(Phase I) in a 3.3 acre area of the lower facilities area. The bond required for remaining
<br />reclamation work was reduced to $3,071,961.00.
<br />Bond release application SL -09 was approved on June 1, 2005 for Phase I, II and III Bond
<br />Release of $226,163.00 for reclamation work applicable to the areas of the 3.3 acre area for the
<br />gravel pad, entrance and access road and the vegetated southern portion of the lower facilities
<br />area. The bond required for the remaining reclamation work was reduced to $2,845,798.00.
<br />Bond Release application SL -10 was approved December 14, 2009 for Phase I, II, and III bond
<br />release of 13.3 acres of land at the Edna Mine. The post - mining land use on the SL -10 bond
<br />release area was agricultural with recreational hunting as a secondary use. The Division
<br />approved a Phase I, II and III bond release on 13.3 acres consisting of a portion of a lower
<br />facilities area gravel pad, entrance and access road /gate and the permanent sediment drainage
<br />basin. The Division approved Bond release of $300,664.00. The bond required for the
<br />remaining reclamation work was reduced to $2,733,438.00
<br />Bond Release application SL -11 was received May 14, 2009. Chevron Mining requested Phase
<br />II and III bond release of the parcels known as West Ridge area, Moffat area, and support
<br />facilities area. The parcels encompass approximately 1186.4 acres. A total bond release of
<br />$2,733,438.00 was requested.
<br />Permit Renewal No. 6, was approved December 6, 2011. At that time the Division evaluated
<br />the remaining reclamation liability and recalculated the amount of bond required. With the
<br />approval of RN6, the reclamation liability bond was reduced by $241,308.33 to $2,329,182.67.
<br />Submittal of Bond Release Application and Completeness Determination by the
<br />Division
<br />The Division received Chevron Mining, Inc.'s (Chevron) bond release application SL -11 on
<br />May 14, 2009. Chevron requested Phase II and III bond release all remaining permit acreage,
<br />consisting of parcels known as West Ridge area, Moffat area, and support facilities area. The
<br />parcels encompass approximately 1186.4 acres. A total bond release of $2,758,868 was
