Map 11 sheets 1, 2 and 3 have been revised to show the two proposed
pump locations plus an alternate location for the well north of the highway.
Only one of these two locations will be developed. Sheet 1 shows the
access roads servicing these sites; sheet two shows the power lines
associated with these wells. Note that the power line to the location north
of the highway has already been approved by a previous permitting action.
Table 19 has been updated to include these new facilities. Figure 14d,
permit page 2.05 -46g, presents a typical mine dewatering well construction
configuration.
Water well applications have been filed with the Division of Water
Resources for these three well sites. A Substitute Water Supply Plan
(SWSP) has been filed addressing groundwater depletions and an
Augmentation Plan to address these depletions. The aquifer being
impacted is tributary to the Purgatoire River downstream of the mine but is
not considered a resource supplying domestic, agricultural or industrial
water wells.
The water line for the well north of the highway will parallel the approved
power line located north of the Highway Right -of -way. The six or eight
inch line will lie on the surface. If any trenching is required for the
construction, the utility locator service will be utilized prior to any
excavation. The water line will cross above highway 12, suspended within
the RDA conveyor belt structure. Work conducted above the highway will
utilize certified flag persons for traffic control conducted in accordance with
CDOT requirements.
Please contact me at 303 - 300 -8709 if there are any questions regarding
this permit revision.
Regards,
f'1
Ron Thompson
