Pineda <br />Director <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve a renewal <br />application for coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Colowyo <br />Coal Company L.P. on March 12, 2012 for the Colowyo Coal Mine. In accordance with Rule <br />2.08.5(3)(b) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for <br />Coal Mining, we are providing notice of this proposed decision. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request <br />a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication <br />of the public notice by the Division in the Craig Daily Press. <br />The Surface mine is located approximately 28 miles South of Craig, Colorado. The permit area is <br />further described as follows: <br />All or portions of Sections 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21 and T3N, R93W; and <br />Sections 13, 15, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 33 and 34, T4N, R93W; 6th Prime Meridian. <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the <br />above address and at the Moffat County Clerk and Recorder.
