NORTHWEST COLORADO CONSULTANTS, INC. <br />FIELD REPORT <br />Project: Pond 16 -Area Project No.: 08 -8099 Date: 08/30/11 <br />Remediation Time: 3 <br />Location: Routt County, CO Report No.: 1 Mileage: 78 <br />Client: Peabody Energy Engr. (Tech: JS <br />Work Performed: <br />As requested, we visited the project site on today's date along with Jay James of Peabody Energy to observe the <br />remediation progress taking place at Pond 16A. While on site we observed that a trench had been cut into the <br />south end of the Pond 16 -A embankment and the pond was nearly dewatered. Crews were in the process of <br />mucking out the bottom of the pond and beginning to place fill in the north end of the pond. <br />Remarks: <br />While on site we obtained three samples of the proposed fill material and returned them to our laboratory in <br />Steamboat Springs, CO for standard Proctor and classification testing. These samples will be designated as <br />Proctors 1 P, 2P, and 3P for this project. <br />Verbal Discussions: <br />Jay James of Peabody Energy Corporation was aware of today's observations and sampling. <br />
