All other sections of the current permit
remain unchanged.
Exhibit B / Site Description:
The permitted area would expand to the south by 1.280 acres for a total of 9.958 acres.
A wash plant, water pump, and recirculation- settling pond would be located in the north end of
the permitted area.
Exhibit C / Mining Plan:
See Exhibit E — Mining Plan Map
Add gravel washing operations. Water rights for this operation were acquired on 23 October
2012 in the District Court, Water Division 4 under Case Number 12CW36.
The material to be washed is estimated to be 10,000 tons annually. Wash water would be initially
taken from the Uncompahgre River into a 70,000 -f1 (1.61 acre -foot) recirculation - settling pond.
The pond dimensions will be approximately 100 ft by 100 ft by 10 ft deep with a 2:1 inside slope
(average depth 7 ft). The owner /operator will need to form a protective berm between the river
and pond to mitigate damage to the pond and any gravel crushing or washing equipment.
The pond will be lined with a 24 -mil (0.61mm) liner designed for long -term, non - hazardous use.
Water from the pond will then be used to wash gravel product with the effluent from the wash
plan returning to the pond for reuse. No soaps or chemicals will be used to
wash product. The pond would be recharged as necessary from the river.
