<br />The Uncompahgre Valley Water
<br />Users Association { UVWUA) at its
<br />Februaryregular Board Meetingdis-
<br />cussed in great depth the drought
<br />outlook for the upcoming growing
<br />season. With the snow pack well
<br />below average and our storage
<br />water also being below normal
<br />this year, several major decisions
<br />were made. It was decided that the
<br />Gunnison Tunnel will not be turned
<br />on until April 1st at the earliest and
<br />with the forecast at present, we
<br />will be delivering well below 100%
<br />water for the 2013 growing season.
<br />It was also decided that due to the
<br />lack of water, pump contract for
<br />contracted l "rented'} water would
<br />not be renewed or allowed this
<br />year. Water that'ls attached to the
<br />land and delivered by pump will be
<br />allowed. UVWUA will be sending
<br />out a newsletter in mid -March with
<br />the current forecast Information at
<br />that time and an update as to the
<br />outlook for the season. Your under-
<br />standing and cooperation will be
<br />appreciated.
