TR -77, Permanent Pond Demonstrations for Retention
Ms. Burgmaier/Mr. Ebert,
Seneca Coal Company (SCC) is submitting an update to Technical Revision No. 77 (TR -77) to remove
Pond 005 and Stockponds T -18, 20 and 24 from the original request for approval for permanent retention
of six (6) sediment and eight (8) stockponds within the Seneca II -W reclamation area. Retention of these
structures will enhance the approved post mine land use for livestock grazing and wildlife habitat
enhancement. Letters requesting retention of these structures have been sent to the landowners. The
letters from landowners received to date are included in this submittal; the remainder will be forwarded as
received. Permanent impoundment demonstrations for the following sediment ponds are attached:
o Pond 005 removed from request
o Pond 006
o Pond 009
o Pond 015
o Pond 016
o Pond 017
Also attached are permanent pond demonstrations for the following stock ponds:
