Piheda <br />Director <br />The Division determined the PR -07 application to be complete for purposes of filing on January <br />3, 2013. Public Notice as required by 2.07.3(2) was published in the San Miguel Basin Forum <br />beginning on January 10. The fourth and final publication will appeared on February 7, 2013, as <br />verified by the Proof of Publication submitted to the Division. <br />As set forth in 2.07.3(5), "Any person having an interest which is or may be adversely affected <br />by a decision of the Division regarding the proposed surface coal mining operation... shall have <br />the right to submit written objections to or comments upon the initial or revised application for a <br />permit, permit revision or permit renewal, to the Division within 30 days after the last <br />publication of the above notice. Such objections and comments shall immediately be transmitted <br />to the applicant by the Division and shall be made available to the public, at the same locations <br />as the application." <br />The period for submittal of objections and comments, as defined in 2.07.3(5), will remain open <br />until March 11, 2013. On January 29, 2013, the Division transmitted to you a series of <br />comments and objections and a number of signed "petitions" related to PR -07. Additional items <br />have been received by the Division.
