Pineda <br />Director <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, <br />Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on March 8, 2013, a permit revision application for a <br />permit to conduct coal mining operations, Permit No. C- 1981 -018 by Blue Mountain Energy, Inc, was considered <br />complete for the purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Coal Mining <br />Reclamation Act and the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining <br />initiate from this date of filing. <br />Pennit Revision #8 is a permit revision adding an additional 1656.3 acres to Blue Mountain Energy's permit area. No <br />additional surface disturbance is being proposed as a part of this action. The revised mine plan undermines only one <br />additional non -mine structure, the Red Wash Reservoir No.3 and additional sections of Rio Blanco County Road 65 <br />and 73. Federal Coal Lease COC -74813 is pending and includes the area of proposed changes. <br />The Underground coal mining operation is located approximately 7 miles Northeast of Rangely, Colorado. The permit <br />area is further described as follows: <br />Portions of Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, and 12, T2N, R10 1W, 6th PM, all in Rio Blanco County; Portions of Sections <br />21, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 34, 35, and 36, T3N, R101W, 6th PM; All of Sections 22, 29, 32, and 33, T3N, R101W, <br />6th PM, all in Rio Blanco County. <br />The above - mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Rangely Ne. <br />A copy of the revision application is available for public inspection at the Rio Blanco County Commissioners.
