The leak <br />was discovered at approximately 7:30AM on Friday 21, 2013. <br />Notice Requirements (3.1.13(2)): <br />(a) Climax Molybdenum, M- 1977 -342, Tim Haynes <br />(b) (303) 569 -3221 Ext. 22984 <br />(c) 4:33 PM, February 21, 2013 <br />(d) Tailing slurry <br />(e) An estimated 1,000 to 2,000 gallons of tailing slurry was released due to a joint <br />failure in the Reinforced Concrete Pipe delivery line. The released tailings did not <br />leave the permit area (or affected area), the released tailings flowed down the adjacent <br />road and returned into the 3 -Dam facility. <br />(f) Henderson employees wedged more packing into the void between the RCP pipes to <br />slow the release of tailing slurry.
