Pineda <br />221 W Victory Way <br />Director <br />Craig, CO 81625 -2704 <br />Re: Williams Fork Mines (Permit No. C- 1981 -044) <br />Permit Renewal Application No. 6 (RN -6) <br />Dear Moffat County Planning Department: <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, <br />Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on March 6, 2013, an application to renew an existing <br />permit to conduct coal mining operations at the Williams Fork Mines was considered complete for the purposes of <br />filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules <br />initiate from this date of filing. <br />Moffat County Mining, LLC proposes to continue Underground coal mining and/or reclamation operations on land <br />located approximately 7 miles Southwest of Craig, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br />All or portions of Sections 4, 5, 6 and 8, T5N, R9 1W; part of Section 1, T5N, R92W; and Sections 17, 19, 20, 21, 28, <br />29, 30, 31, 32 and 33, T6N, R91W; portions of Sections 25, 26, 35 and 36, T6n, R92W; 6th Prime Meridian.. <br />The above - mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Round Bottom <br />Moffat County Mining, LLC is requesting to proceed with the renewal process for their existing approved Mining and <br />Reclamation Permit for the Williams Fork Mines, which expires on September 6, 2013, and through this submittal <br />establish their successive right of renewal. <br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Moffat County Commissioners, 221 W <br />Victory Way, Craig, CO 81625.
