Reclamation Areas 23 and 29 had three qualifying warm season
graminoids, but each lacked a qualifying cool season graminoid to meet the final species
composition criterion. Reclamation Area 30 had four perennial warm season graminoids
and two perennial cool season graminoids, thereby exceeding the final species
composition requirements. Reclamation Area 31 had one perennial warm season
graminoid and two perennial cool season graminoids meeting the species composition
requirements this season, but lacked two qualifying perennial warm season graminoids to
satisfy all requirements of the final revegetation success criteria for species composition.
The reclamation areas sampled this season have shown significant development of a
diverse, effective, permanent vegetation cover, and are expected to continue in successful
development.
6.0 PEST AND DISEASE INSPECTIONS
Four quarterly inspections were conducted at the Keenesburg Mine to evaluate the
presence or potential for pest or disease infestations or outbreaks. The inspections were
conducted on March 23, May 29, July 12, and November 29, 2012. Inspection reports
from those inspections are located in the appendix.
Coors Energy Company Keenesburg Mine Page 21
2012 Revegetation Monitoring Report
