t•
OBSERVATIONS
PERMIT #: M- 1980 -183
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: BMK
INSPECTION DATE: January 31, 2013
1) The Division conducted an acreage reduction release request inspection on 1/31/13. Present during the
inspection was Mr. Fred Marvel of Brannan Sand and Gravel. On January 23, 2013, the operator submitted f
an acreage reduction request for the 75 acres of land that is now being utilized as water storage by Bromely
District Water Users, LLC.
2) On February 22, 2010, the Division reduced the required financial warranty for this area, but the acreage
was not released due to lack of adequate embankment vegetation.
3) The embankments were walked and inspected. The pond was full of water at the time of the inspection. The
embankments were stable but still lacked adequate vegetation growth. There was no noxious weed
infestation noted at the time of the inspection. The acreage reduction request is denied at this time. The
operator should re -seed the embankments and request an acreage reduction request at a later date.
4) While in the area, a piezometer reading at location # 004 was collected. The flooded pasture land was still
under frozen water. The operator agreed to collect three survey points to verify true elevation of the
pasture land in relation to the pond and Piezometer 004 location. The operator will continue to monitor the
location as outlined in the inspection report dated 12/14/12 until the source of the pasture land flooding is
determined.
