Pineda Director <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Dear Sir/Madame : <br /> <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has received a revision for the West Elk Mine. <br />The Division deemed the revision complete on November 28, 2012 and issued the decision on the <br />same date. <br /> <br />The Mountain Coal Company, LLC has submitted a Minor Revision to the West Elk Mine’s permit. <br />The revision proposes to add a small, wooden shed on the north side of their 175,000 gallon potable <br />water tank. The shed will house a chlorine meter to monitor the residual chlorine level in the water. <br />There will be no change to the mine’s permit or disturbance boundary as a result of this revision. <br />There will, however, be an increase in the mine’s reclamation liability. <br /> <br />This revision is available for review at the Gunnison County Planning Department, 201 E.
