due to stream channel infiltration, evapotranspiration and the absence
of lateral inflow from tributaries to Cow Camp Creek. No flow was
observed at this site in June and July of this year. The TDS plot from
last year reveals a recently decreasing trend.
A complete discussion of the impacts to Fish Creek by the Seneca TI Mine
and the PSCM may be found in this year's Seneca II Mine AHR.
Little Grassy Creek Drainage. Two monitoring sites lie within the Little
Grassy Creek drainage: SSLG5, located in the upper part of Little Grassy
Creek, and NPDES Discharge Point 002, also known as the Wedge
Impoundment or Pond 002.
- Surface Water Site SW -S2 -5 (SSLG5). Site 5 drains the upper reaches
of Little Grassy Creek which are undisturbed by mining. A comparison of
its hydrograph to that of NPDES2 indicates that Site 5 is a relatively
minor contributor to the flow in this basin. The TDS plot indicates a
recent increasing trend.
- NPDES Discharge Point 002 (NPDES2). Hydrographs are presented in
Appendix D. The hydrographs consist of two pages, the first is for data
this year, and the second shows all historical data. The following table
lists'the average flow values for each water year.
2012 = 0.434 cfs (monthly measurements)
2011 = 2.286 cfs If
2010 = 0.460 cfs
2009 = 0.630 cfs
2008 = 1.112 cfs
2007 = 0.514 cfs
2006 = 0.997 cfs
2005 = 0.356 cfs
2004 = 0.283 cfs If
2003 = 0.323 cfs
2002 = 0.245 cfs
2001 = 0.374 cfs
2000 = 0.320 cfs
11
