access. The revegetation along the sides of the fords to be created will be
minor. The revegetation mix to be used along the road sides will be for Big
Sagebrush Shrubland. The revegetation should not be effected by limited
livestock grazing which will occur mainly during the winter and spring.
3.7 PREVENTION OF PUBLIC HAZARDS
In conformance with 30 CFR 1711 -2, MSHA approved concrete foam was used
to seal the four drift openings during 1992. The drift openings were filled with
incombustible material for a distance of at least 25 feet into such openings during 2000.
3.8 RECLAMATION SCHEDULE AND COSTS
Reclamation of the majority of the site occurred during 2007. Remaining
reclamation work scheduled during 2013 includes removal of the sediment pond and
associated ditch and culvert reclamation in the coal waste disposal vicinity, along with
culvert removal /dry ford construction along the retained segment of the haul /access
road located on BLM surface and width reduction on the segment of road on BLM
surface. Revegetation (seeding) occurs during the fall of the year that reclamation is
performed.
Detailed reclamation cost estimates are prepared by the DRMS. The estimates
indicate that the remaining cost of the reclamation will be about $65,965. See Table
3.9 -6.
Permit Renewal 3 -20 10/12
