NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety proposes to Approve with conditions <br />Permit Renewal Application No. 6 (RN -6), submitted by CAM Mining, LLC for a coal mining <br />permit at the Munger Canyon Mine (Permit No. C- 1981 -020). The proposed renewal will allow for <br />continued mining and/or reclamation operations at the site. <br />The Munger Canyon Mine is is an underground mine located in Garfield County, approximately 18 <br />miles north of Loma, Colorado . A reclaimed loadout facility 1 /2 mile east of Loma, in Mesa County <br />is included in the Munger Canyon Permit. Coal interest at this underground mine is Federal, and <br />the surface to be affected is Private land. The permit area encompasses approximately 1,028.00 <br />acres. <br />This proposed decision is based on a finding that the proposed operation will comply with all <br />requirements of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Section 34 -33 -101 et seq., <br />C.R.S., and the regulations promulgated thereunder. <br />A copy of the "Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance ", including any stipulations, is on <br />file for public inspection at the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Room 215 <br />Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, and at the Mesa County Clerk <br />and Recorder's Office, 200 S. Spruce Street Grand Junction, CO 81501. Persons with an interest <br />that may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal hearing before the <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board on the proposed decision. Such request must be made within thirty <br />(30) days of the initial publication of this notice, must be in writing, and must state with reasonable <br />specificity the reasons for the request and the objections to the proposed decision. <br />
