<br />The Colorado Division of Ryciema
<br />Lion, Mining and Safety proposes to
<br />Approve Permit Renewal Application
<br />No. 6 (RN-6), submitted by Snowcap
<br />Coal Company, Inc. for a coal mining
<br />permit at the Ro dside Portals (Per
<br />mit No. C-1981-041). The proposed
<br />renewal will allow for continued min
<br />ing and /or reclamation operations at
<br />the site.
<br />The Roadside Portals Is located in
<br />Mesa County, approximately 5 miles N
<br />of Palisade, Colorado, Colorado.
<br />Coal interest at this Underground
<br />mine is Federal and private antIthe
<br />surface to be affected is Fet)eratapd
<br />private land. The permit area, en
<br />compasses approximately 2,710,6)1
<br />acres.
<br />This proposed decision Is based on a
<br />finding that the proposed operation
<br />will comply with all requirements of
<br />the Colorado Surface Coal Mining
<br />Reclamation Act, Section 34 33 101 et
<br />seq., C.R.S., and the regulations pro•
<br />muigated thereunder.
