Rosene, Grand County Clerk and <br />Recorder, Colorado <br />STATE OF COLORADO } <br />} SS. <br />County of Grand } <br />At a regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners for the Grand County, <br />Colorado, held at the Court House in Hot Sulphur Springs on Tuesday, the 4 day of December, <br />2012, there were present: <br />N cy Stuart <br />James L. Rosen <br />, Commissioner Chairman <br />, Commissioner <br />, Commissioner <br />, County Attorney <br />, County Manager <br />, Clerk of the Board <br />when the following proceedings, among others, were had and done, to wit: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2012-12- 14 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FLINTSTONE GRAVEL & TRUCKING SPECIAL <br />USE PERMIT RENEWAL FOR A GRAVEL PIT LOCATED IN THE NE Y. OF <br />SECTION 32, TOWNSHIP 2 NORTH, RANGE 76 WEST OF THE 6 P.M., GRAND <br />COUNTY, COLORADO <br />WHEREAS, Flintstone Gravel & Trucking, Inc., (hereinafter referred to as the <br />`Permittee "), operates a gravel pit under Special Use Permit No. 2010 -3-4 on property located on <br />100.27 acres in the NE Y, of Section 32, Township 2 North, Range 76 West of the 6 P.M.; and <br />WHEREAS, the Permittee requests a lifetime permit be issued for the operation; and <br />WHEREAS, application is in compliance with the Grand County Zoning Regulations and <br />Grand County Master Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, public notice stating the time and place of the public hearing was sent by <br />Certified Mail Return Receipt to all property owners within 500' of the proposal, all interested <br />parties and the Town of Granby, and notice was placed in the Middle Park runes at least 20 days <br />prior to the scheduled public hearing; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board reviewed the exhibits and testimony presented at the December 4, <br />2012 public hearing, has considered the purpose of the Master Plan, the obvious public need for <br />the gravel pit in the County, the conditions of the surrounding neighborhood, the <br />recommendation of the Grand County Planning and Zoning Department, and has determined that <br />it is in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Grand County to <br />approve the Special Use Permit upon the terms and conditions set forth in the attached Exhibit <br />"A ", for the life of the pit under the ownership of the Permittee; and . <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the <br />County of Grand, State of Colorado, that the Flintstone Gravel & Trucking Special Use Permit <br />renewal for a gravel pit located on a 100.27 acre parcel of land in the NE'/, of Section 32, <br />Township 2 North, Range 76 West of the 6 P.M., Grand County, Colorado, under the terms and <br />conditions set forth in the attached Exhibit "A ", which is incorporated by reference as if set forth <br />in full herein, be and hereby is approved. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners is <br />authorized to sign the Special Use Permit Renewal. <br />
