(a) The mine site will be continually reclaimed using the waste rock and silt
created during the recovery process as explained in the mine plan.
(b) The reclaimed mine site will be returned to the grade in which it was
found before exploration activities have been conducted.
(c) Upon completion of the exploration activities as described in the mine
plan, all processing equipment will be removed the mine site. All waste rock will
have been dumped back into the pit in which it was extracted from. The vegetation
layer that has been stockpiled will be spread over the affected area using a skid
steer, and graded to match the contour of the surrounding area. Due to the lack of
vegetation on the deposit, the overall size of the affected area, and lack of impact
that the exploration activities will create, reseeding or replanting vegetation
disturbed will not be conducted unless otherwise specified by governing agencies.
The trail that will be used to access the mine site from the mine entrance traverses
over the gravel deposit affecting very little vegetation and could be easily reclaimed
to its natural state using a hand operated rake. All river banks that will be affected
by the use of this trail will be restored to the original state in which it was found as
the trail will not provide any beneficial use the public.
(d) Estimated reclamation costs will be described in this section. Being that
reclamation of the excavated pit is actually part of the mine plan, it is not deemed
necessary to include estimated reclamation cost of the pit, however, in the event that
the pit is excavated and no further progress is completed due to events that may be
encountered, reclamation of the pit will be considered. Equipment necessary to
reclaim the site would be a back hoe with a front end loader. Cost to transport the
equipment from Monte Vista (the nearest population center), to mine site and back
to Monte Vista is estimated to be $500.00. Operational cost of the equipment is
estimated at $85.00 per hour which includes the operators wage and fuel necessary
to operate the equipment. It is estimated that 4 hours of labor will be required to
reclaim the pit that has been excavated, by means of pushing the excavated material
which is approximately 70 cubic yards, back into the pit, spreading the stockpiled
vegetation layer which is approximately 14 cubic yards, restoring river banks that
may be affected by the access trail, and possibly back dragging the trail in an
attempt to reclaim the trail that starts at the mine entrance to the mine site. The
estimated cost to remove the fencing constructed around the pit, and the temporary
gate constructed at the mine entrance would be $50.00. This would not require
equipment, only labor calculated at $25.00 per hour for 2 hours. Total reclamation
is estimated to cost $890.00 if performed by an independent contractor.
Exhibit E — Map
This exhibit will have maps attached to show the boundaries of the Boulder
Gold claim, the exploratory mining plan, access routes, mine site boundaries, mine
site entrance, and any surface owners, or man made structures within 200 feet of the
affected area. Reclamation Plan Maps will be attached as well.
Exhibit F — List of Other Governing Agencies Notified
