Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />On May 29, 2007 the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety approved the Technical Revision application <br />submitted to the Division on May 16, 2007, addressing the following: <br />Phase IVC Isolation Barrier construction to protect uncertified liner area & decommissioning of the Victor Pads <br />and Ponds. <br />The terms of the Technical Revision No. 48 approved by the Division are hereby incorporated into Permit No. M -1980- <br />244. <br />The conditions of the Division approval are noted below. Please note that all other provisions of Permit No. M -1980 -244 <br />remain in full force and effect. <br />1) The first lift after the construction of the barrier in the certified portion of Phase IVC will not exceed 30 <br />feet. <br />2) Either side of the drainage low will be limited to 50 feet and will be at 2:1 slope or gentler. <br />3) Each subsequent lift will be limited to 50 feet in height until all the lined area is certified and written <br />approval is granted by DRMS. <br />4) Overall composite slope will be benched between lifts to 2.2:1 or shallower slopes. <br />5) If any solution is detected in the uncertified portion of the liner, CC &V will cease applying solution <br />immediately and will not apply solution until all lined areas are certified and written approval is obtained <br />from DRMS. <br />Since all the area covered under TR 48, is already covered under warranty, no additional warranty for the TR is needed at <br />this time. <br />Office of <br />Office of <br />Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines <br />
