Hickenlooper
Governor
Mike King
Executive Director
Loretta E. Pineda
Director
We have received your minor revision application to revise your permit to conduct coal mining in
Colorado. Our initial review indicates that all preliminary items required by the Colorado Surface
Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Section 34 -33 -101 et seq., C.R.S., have been submitted. Thus, your
application has been considered complete for the purposes of filing as of February 8, 2013. All
review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of
filing.
One item will need to be addressed prior to Division approval of the minor revision. When the
permittee submits a revision to the permit, the Division will still require that a copy of the revision
be placed for public review at a public office; in the county where the mining operation is occurring,
during the review period. Once the Division issues the approval of the revision, the public copy can
then be removed from the public office. The revised page 11 of Tab 03 submitted with the revision
should be updated to indicate the public facility where revisions will be filed for public review.
Please include the name, address and phone number of this public office.
The decision date for this revision is February 18, 2013; if you need additional time to address the
item discussed above please request an extension of the decision date.
Sincerely,
Jared Ebert
Environmental Protection Specialist
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
