Re: Higgins Pit II, Permit No. M- 2012 -013, INCOMPLETE Pending Application For Transfer of
Mineral Permit and Succession of Operator, Application Fee and Financial Warranty
On January 28, 2013, the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety received your Application for
Transfer of Mineral Permit and Succession of Operator. The following items are missing from your
application packet:
1. Succession of Operator Application fee of $144.00.
2. Financial Warranty provided by Smithburg Family Partnership, LLLP in the current amount of
$192,000.00.
3. Structure Agreement provided by Smithburg Family Partnership, LLLP.
The Financial Warranty template forms can be found at the Division's website, www.mining.state.co.us .
Please refer to the application for requirements of the Structure Agreement. Upon receipt of the above items,
the permit transfer can be approved. You will then be contacted by an Environmental Protection Specialist
regarding the site for an inspection and notified thereafter of the current reclamation cost and amount of
Financial Warranty to provide within 60 days, if it is different from the current reclamation cost on file of
$192,000.00. Please return the forms to 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203.
