The Applegate report states a custom USDA Soil Survey was created for the site and a <br />copy of the survey was included in the submittal. The Division did not receive a copy of <br />the soil survey. Please submit the soil survey to the Division for review. <br />Answer: The soil survey has been included as an attachment to this letter. <br />5. A highway loading was applied by Applegate to the models at the roadway location. <br />Please provide justification for the road surcharge of 450PSF used in the stability <br />analyses. <br />Answer: The loading was based on a standard truck width of 8-ft. The AASHTO HS20 -44 <br />loading of 32,000 lb was applied to an area of 8 sf footprint for a surcharge load of 4, 000 <br />psf.
