Addressee Name
Date
Page 2
Before the Division can approve rerouting of discharge through Ditch B, MINREC will
need to provide a revised CDPS permit that allows for the additional discharge point or
clearly specifies that the approved outfall may be bypassed. Please provide
documentation of WQCD approval for discharge from the Ditch B outfall.
3. On proposed page 4 -iv, MINREC indicates that water rights should be adequate to store
water in the refuse pond, but does not address water rights as they pertain to the proposed
irrigation use of water overflowing from the east ditch. Please provide, in accordance
with Rule 2.05.6(3)(a)(ii), documentation from the Water Resources Division that
use of this water will not adversely affect the present users of this surface water.
The documentation should specify the amount of water usage allowable by the
irrigation operation.
4. Map D -3 -2 shows a black dot that appears to be the CDPS approved discharge point,
outfall 001A. Please clarify this feature by including a description in the legend or a
label on the map.
5. Map D -2 -5 does not show the location of CDPS outfall 001A. Please indicate where
outfall 001A is on the map.
5. The primary and emergency spillways from T -2 to outfall 001A are clearly labeled on
Map D -2 -5. In contrast, the primary and emergency spillways from P -9 to outfall 001A
are not drawn or labeled on the map. Please label the spillways from P -9 to outfall
001A on Map D -2 -5.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (303) 866 -3567 ext 8142.
Sincerely,
Brock Bowles
Environmental Protection Specialist
