The
cover letter to the Climax warranty package dated February 8, 1999, recognizes that financial
warranty is not required for those buildings and structures that are removed from service.
The present warranty for the Precon Building and No. 3 Thickener is $41,958 and $37,479,
respectively. Since these structures no longer exist, Climax requests a reduction in warranty for
a total of. $79,437• Figures 32 and 33 show both of these structure sites following the
demolition tasks.
4.0 SUMMARY—REQUESTED WARRANTY REDUCTION
Table 1 presents a summary of the requested reduction in warranty on a site by site basis. This
spreadsheet breaks down the amounts by specific task that correlates directly with the February
1999 warranty document. As shown on the table, CMC is requesting a total reduction of
$3,946,492 from the present grand total of$52,434,637. CMC's request represents a reduction
of 7.5 percent.
100419/C I imax/Report.doc I 1
