A brief compliance status.description is included. <br /> Also, I have attached copies of the appropriate ground water monitoring tracking forms showing the <br /> sampling being done at each site. <br /> Henderson Mine and Mill, Permit No. M-77-342, Clear Creek and Grand Counties <br /> The Division received TR-4 in September 1993 that established a preliminary ground water monitoring and <br /> characterization plan for the Henderson Mine and Mill. TR-5 was submitted in October 1995 and included <br /> the Operator's proposal for a final ground water monitoring and protection plan for the mine and mill. The <br /> Division and the Operator have, at this point, not agreed on a final plan for either points of compliance or <br /> numeric protection levels. The interim plan that has been established includes quarterly monitoring of one <br /> well at the mine, and two wells at the mill. A third well is to be established at the mill during 1998 to gather <br /> ambient ground water quality infor ion ahead of tailings pond expansion. <br /> Climax Mine, Permit No. M-77-W 993, Summit, Lake, and Eagle Counties <br /> The Division received TR-3 in September 1993 that established a preliminary ground water monitoring and <br /> characterization plan for the Climax Mine. TR-8 was submitted in October 1995 and included the <br /> Operator's proposal for a final ground water monitoring and protection plan. The Division and the Operator <br /> have, at this point, not agreed on a final plan for either points of compliance or numeric protection levels. <br /> The interim plan that has been established includes quarterly monitoring of two wells in the Ten Mile Creek <br /> drainage basin, one well in the Arkansas River basin, and one well in the Eagle River basin. <br /> Leadville Unit, Permit No. M-77-218-UG, Lake County <br /> A preliminary ground water characterization and protection plan was incorporated into the permit through <br /> TR-1 approved on August 31, 1993. The final ground water monitoring and protection plan for the Leadville <br /> Unit was approved as TR-5 on March 6, 1997. The final plan specifies quarterly monitoring of six wells and <br /> one surface water sampling station.
