d. The 2012 ARR indicates that the West Mine was seeded in 2002 (page 8), but no
acreage figure is provided. The 2002 ARR on file indicates that 13.8 acres were
seeded in 2002. Please verify this acreage and include the correct acreage in
the 2012 report.
e. The 2012 ARR indicates that no reclamation activities were undertaken during
1996. The 1996 ARR indicates that the West Ridge Refuse Pile was seeded in
October 1996. Please revise the 2012 ARR to include the 1996 seeding of the
West Ridge Refuse Pile.
f. The text of the 2012 and 2004 ARRs indicate that there was no seeding
conducted in 2004. The Reclamation Summary table on page 16 of the 2012 ARR
indicates that 0.45 acres were seeded. Please correct the text or table to
accurately report any acreage seeded in 2004.
2. The reclamation summary table provided on page 17 of the 2012 ARR indicates a total
disturbed area acreage of 107.45 acres. The 2012 ARR and currently approved permit
application package indicate there are 105.1 acres disturbed. Please revise the table to
be consistent with the previously reported 105.1 total disturbed acres.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Susan L. Burgmaier
Environmental Protection Specialist
