Dear Mr. Cunningham,
Gold Hill Mines, Inc.
P.O. Box 1523
Longmont, Colorado 80502
January 28, 2013 r
VU Mop
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
Mr. Michael A. Cunningham
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
RE: Minerals Program Inspection Report for Cash and Who Do Mines Permit M- 1983 -141
This letter is Gold Hill Mines, Inc.'s response to your Inspection Report for the Cash and
Who Do Mines dated December 4, 2012. Attached to this letter are copies of the Annual Water
Monitoring Reports for the Cash Mine. These are for the two quarters since Gold Hill Mines,
Inc. became the permitted operator of the Cash and Who Do Mine sites.
Also, I am attaching a copy of the Application for a Discharge Permit for the Cash Mine
that was submitted to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
As you noted in your report, the secondary escapeway that was constructed by Mount
Royale Ventures outside of the permit boundary has been closed and reclaimed as one of the
corrective actions required by the Mined Land Reclamation Board. If this secondary escapeway
is needed in the future to meet MSHA requirements, Gold Hill Mines, Inc. will file an
amendment to the reclamation permit before restoring the escapeway to operational use.
There is no current mining activity at this site. However, road repair and maintenance
work has been started. The storm water diversion berms and sediment collection detention basins
will be restored during this work.
Very Truly Yours,
Mark A.
