Box 2030
Durango Colorado 81302
Re: Aerial Photographs - Permit No. M -81 -185
Dear Mr. Ferguson:
STATE OF COLORADO
Aerial photographs of the May Day Mine were taken by the Division on
July 28, 1993 to verify permit compliance for your operation. Our goal is to
ensure that all mine operators are operating within their permitted areas and
that all disturbed areas are adequately bonded for reclamation. Enclosed are
the photographs taken on July 28, 1993.
Please review the photographs and indicate to us whether your operation has
been properly photographed. If so, use a red marker to highlight the
permitted area, and if appropriate, phases of the operation which are
currently bonded. In addition, we request your cooperation in determining the
number of acres currently disturbed, the number of acres currently bonded, and
the number of acres released from reclamation responsibility by the Division.
Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated. Following your
response, we will either mail a final inspection report to your office or we
will conduct a follow -up field inspection, if necessary.
Please contact me at 866 -3567 if you are unable to respond within 30 days.
Sincerely,
) A.
