Sump 6 will have approximate dimensions of 30 ft x 18 feet with a depth of 5.0
feet. A 2' tall berm will be placed on the downhill side. The berm will have 2H:1V
sideslopes.
Each sump will have the required volume below the emergency spillway, reflecting the volume to store
the 10 year 6 hour event. Since the areas are so constrained on the steep slopes on site, further detail on
the sumps is not possible.
The sump spillways will be able to pass the following 100 -yr 6 -hr peak flows:
Sump 1: 2.88 cfs
Sump 2: 2.98 cfs
Sump 3: 0.85 cfs
Sump 4: 0.63 cfs
Sump 5: 2.72 cfs
Sump 6: 1.14 cfs
The typical sump schematic is shown below:
Yule Quarry January 2013 27
