NOTICE OF EXCHANGE OF AFFECTED LAND AREA <br /> COLORADO MINED LAND RECLAMATION PERMIT <br /> The Climax Molybdenum Company, Climax Mine; Fremont Pass, Climax, Colorado 80429, has <br /> applied for an Affected Land Exchange to its approved Mining and Reclamation Permit (M-77- <br /> 493) with the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology for its mining operation located in <br /> Summit, Lake, and Eagle Counties. The proposed Affected Land Exchange involves the <br /> incorporation of a road right-of-way on 1.37 acres in exchange removal of 1.37 acres of <br /> undisturbed area at the Climax Mine site in Summit County to allow for construction of a water <br /> treatment pipeline. There will be no increase in affected land as a result of this land exchange <br /> and the exchange does not involve an increase or change in current mining or milling practices at <br /> the site. The location is multiple section portions in Township 8 South, Range 79 West, 6th <br /> Principal Meridian. <br /> The proposed date of completion of the affected land exchange is November 1, 1997. <br /> Construction on the affected land involved in the exchange is proposed following land exchange <br /> acceptance. Post mining land use of Rangeland, Developed Water Resources, Recreation, and <br /> Industrial/Commercial is designated for the affected lands at the Climax Mine. <br /> Additional information and tentative decision date can be obtained from the Division of Minerals <br /> and Geology, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567 or at <br /> the Climax Mine office or at the Clerk and Recorder's office in Summit County (Breckenridge, <br /> Colorado), <br /> Comments must be submitted in writing and must be received by the Division of Minerals and <br /> Geology by 4:00 p.m. on October 30, 1997. <br />
