January 8, 2013 C-1981-022/Elk Creek Mine BFB <br /> The clean water diversion ditch East and above Pond D noted in the last inspection report was cleaned according <br /> to Jim Kiger. The ditch was not inspected during this inspection due to snow cover. <br /> The drainage ditches along the main haul road contained some plowed snow but were not blocked. The sediment <br /> traps appeared to be in good condition. The sediment pond at the Sanborn Creek fansite was covered with snow. <br /> It did not appear to have water in it. <br /> PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES —Rule 4.10 and 4.11 Drainage Control; Surface <br /> Stabilization; Placement: <br /> The access road to the II West Refuse Pile was snow covered and inaccessible. <br /> ROADS —Rule 4.03 Construction 4.03.1(3)14.03.2(3) Drainage 4.03.l(4)/4.03.2(4) Surfacing and <br /> Maintenance4.03.1(5) and(6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) Reclamation 4.03.l(7)/4.03.2(7): <br /> The parking areas,main haul road, access roads around the mine facilities, Bear Creek Road up to the fan <br /> and the East access road were all plowed and well maintained.
