2012 Repair Item No. Location Work Description (Date(s) Repaired) 1 Repaired fence at the Moffat Pond. Fence was (05/07/12 and 05/25/12) Moffat Pond Fence damaged near the southwest corner, posts were bent and the wires were lying on the ground. Repaired contour ditch blowout near the north end of 2 Contour Ditches the site, approximately a quarter mile from the (05/07/12) Blowouts boundary. The second ditch from the top contained a blowout that was causing a large rill, approximately one foot deep and four feet wide. Intersection of the Surveyed and authored a Memo detailing the ditch 3 North Road and the south of the intersection of the North Road and the (No Repair Required) Lower Moffat Road Lower Moffat Road thought to have a low spot that Ditch could potentially pond and flow over the road rather than drain to a culvert. Replaced the West Ridge Pond discharge culvert in 4 West Ridge Pond accordance with MR -55. The primary spillway was (10/04/12 to 10/06/12) Discharge Culvert rusted and contained a sizable hole approximately 10 feet from the downstream end. Repaired gullies and a roadside ditch where the West Ridge Road crosses the West Ridge drainage area and West Ridge to the west of the drainage. The gullies were 5 (10/09/12) Gullies/Roadside armored /filled with rip rap and the ditch was diverted to proper orientation. The eastern gully was nearly Ditch 200 yards long and at least 4 foot deep in places. The western gully was approximately 60 yards long and averaged 4 feet deep. 6 Moffat Down Drain Repaired rills at Down Drain #4. Rills had occurred in (10/24/12) #4 a heavily traveled corridor related to livestock grazing. Repaired rills and gullies at Moffat Final Pit Ditch. 7 Moffat Final Pit Minor rilling had developed on the north side of the (10/24/12) Ditch channel. Two gullies had developed, both approximately 30 yards long and 3 feet deep. 8 Moffat Pond Replaced both ends of the Moffat Pond discharge (11/29/12) Discharge Culvert culvert, including trash racks. The primary spillway was rusted at each end of the pipe. 9 Lower Moffat Road Repaired gully east of Lower Moffat Road. The gully (10/9/12) Gully was approximately 100 feet long and 2 feet deep. 2012 Maintenance List The Fourth Quarter 2012 Inspection was performed on December 12, 2012. All structures were functioning as designed. There are currently no maintenance items at the Edna Mine.
