CONTRACTOR shall provide <br />equipment and labor to assist CQA Monitor in sampling, if requested, and shall also provide access to <br />all areas requiring testing activities. Quality Control testing shall be the responsibility of the <br />CONTRACTOR. <br />D. All excavation, backfill, and grading operations shall be carried out under the observation of <br />MANAGER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER. <br />E. Any work found unsatisfactory or any work disturbed by subsequent operations before acceptance is <br />granted shall be corrected by CONTRACTOR, at its sole cost. <br />PART 2: PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MATERIALS: <br />A. Fill materials will be soils, gravels, or rock fill approved by MANAGER and CERTIFYING <br />ENGINEER. The materials shall be free of organic matter, debris, frozen material, and other <br />deleterious materials, and shall be excavated, as required, as follows: <br />1. Structural Fill - material as approved by MANAGER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER <br />conforming to the following SPECIFICATION: <br />Plasticity Index: <br />30 maximum <br />2. Select Structural Fill - well graded granular soil or sound, hard, durable, rockfill excavated <br />on -site or supplied from off -site mine waste rock with a maximum particle size of 3 inches as <br />approved by MANAGER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER. <br />3.
