RE: NOI X-2006-153-14, Final Reclamation and Abandonment Reports, Bond Release SL-1

Dear Mr. Glancy:

The Division has received the Final Reclamation and Drill Hole Abandonment Reports for the Notice of
Intent X-2006-153-14. The reports are in compliance and satisfy rules 2.02.6(3)(b) and 4.07.3(3). It is
noted that 9 drill holes and 2 monitoring wells have been completely reclaimed and one permitted hole
was not drilled.

The Division has also received your bond release request, via email on December 28, 2012, for the coal
exploration bond of NOI X-2006-153-14. The Division currently holds a bond for this NOI in the amount
of $1,957.00.

So that we may properly evaluate the success of the remaining reclamation at this site, we will conduct
the bond release inspection within 30 days and weather permitting. We will contact Jim Stover to
schedule a time for when our inspection will be convenient for him.
