Time Estimate <br />(mining - reclamation) <br />Estimated Disturbance of Affected Land <br />2012 <br />Approval of Amended acreage and initiation of development work at upper <br />elevation of newly permitted area, southern 10 acres of newly leased land. <br />2012 -2017 <br />Highwall mining focused on 10 acre (m/1) area at SE corner of the lease <br />area, 660'x660' on side. Mining will progress east to west to western <br />border of lease area. <br />2017 -2037 <br />Highwall mining to progress south to north to northern end of the lease <br />area. <br />2037 -2067 <br />Mining of pit floor to 5550' elevation. Mining of highwall areas to north <br />and pit floor may be concurrent depending on business needs and costs. <br />Process fines will used for planting medium in concert with other soil <br />amendments /additions for re- vegetation of the pit floor areas. <br />*Note that "life of mine" end of mining date may be subject to a <br />considerable variance regarding final mining date depending upon a <br />number of factors that cannot be accurately estimated at this time, such as <br />production demands, rock quality, new market development potentials, etc. <br />Please see Exhibit C Narrative. <br />5 <br />MINING PHASE TIMETABLE <br />(f) A map (in Exhibit C - Pre - Mining and Mining Plan Maps(s) of Affected Lands, Subsection 6.4.3) may <br />be used along with a narrative to present the following information: <br />(i) nature, depth and thickness of the deposit to be mined and the thickness and type of <br />overburden to be removed (may be marked "CONFIDENTIAL," pursuant to Paragraph 1.3(3)); <br />and <br />(ii) nature of the stratum immediately beneath the material to be mined in sedimentary deposits. <br />(g) Identify the primary and secondary commodities to be mined /extracted and describe the intended use; <br />and <br />The primary commodity being mined is the granite bedrock, processed to various grades /sizes of <br />aggregate rock products. The secondary product is granite rip -rap, sized from 4" cobble up to 3 -4' <br />boulders. These various products are used for a variety of end uses, including but not limited to: <br />erosion control and bank stabilization, road materials, concrete and construction aggregate, asphalt <br />aggregate road base, drainage and leach field rock, landscaping rock and boulders, and general <br />grading and backfilling material. <br />(h) name and describe the intended use of all expected incidental products to be mined /extracted by the <br />proposed operation. <br />No incidental products are expected to be produced from the site. <br />
