2.3 Stormwater Control System
amed
Ames constructed the Stormwater Control System in the Process Solution Enhancement
System, at the location shown in Record Drawing No. 4 of 4.
A collection basin was installed at the inlet of the Stormwater Control System culvert. The
basin was lined with 8 oz non -woven geotextile and rip rap.
Ames excavated the Stormwater Control System culvert trench to a minimum 5 -foot by 5-
foot cross - sectional dimension. Ames placed 1 -foot of PBM and one 36 -inch diameter
corrugated polyethylene (CPE) pipe in the trench. The trench was backfilled with PBM, with
a minimum 1 -foot of cover over the pipe. Ames placed approximately 504 linear feet of CPE,
and 9,040 cubic yards of PBM in the Stormwater Control System.
The culvert discharges into existing stormwater controls. The toe of the Process Solution
Enhancement System fill was protected from infiltration at the collection basin and culvert
inlet by GCL.
2.4 Subgrade Preparation
Prior to SLF placement, Ames moisture conditioned and compacted the entire surface of the
Process Solution Enhancement System with a smooth drum vibratory compactor according
to the project specifications. The quality of the finished surface was then maintained to the
project specifications until SLF was placed.
2.5 Soil Liner Fill
Based on neat -line survey, Ames placed and compacted approximately 5,140 cubic yards of
SLF in the Process Solution Enhancement System to project specifications. Record
Drawing No. 2 of 4 in Appendix A presents the as -built surface of the SLF.
AMEC Environment & Infrastructure, Inc.
2000 S.
